Bellowing out into black pitch. Yelling into an empty sky for some form of relief. My chest becomes heavy as you stand upon it. My breathe is shortened by your weight. How can I refuse your blank stare? I’ve benefited from it for so long. Pulling your leg down to push your heel into me, harder until blood stains my tongue. Keeping me on the ground. My imprint left in the dust while your gaze shifts in confusion. You try to walk but my grasp is fixed and my throat begins to dry out. You look behind to see the sun setting. You become anxious to leave.
Oppressive, heavy grindcore that throws in so many different additional elements, including a whole lot of complex time changes and riffs. "Our Hollow" definitely pays off after multiple listens as there is a hell of a lot going on. But as impressive as the music is, the pointed poetic lyrics are the huge takeaway for me. Make sure to give these lines the attention they deserve, which makes the album that much more rewarding. A very impressive statement. bcb723
